The Novo Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Program seeks to advance Novo's efforts that focus on small business education. Identified SMEs in this program are Novo customers and possess fundamental Novo knowledge. They are eager to share their excitement about Novo to others as well as share small business educational knowledge within their area of expertise.

Program Goals

  • Highlight Customers

    Showcase the expertise and success stories of Novo customers, highlighting their dual roles as business owners and Novo advocates.

  • Content Creation

    Deliver valuable educational content through various channels, fostering a supportive SMB community under Novo’s brand.

  • Support SMBs

    Provide SMEs with the tools, resources, and co-branding opportunities to enhance visibility and promote their own businesses.

Criteria

SMEs are selected based on criteria that include:

  • Product Use: Demonstrated satisfaction with Novo, meeting Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) criteria, and actively using Novo’s features.

  • Brand Alignment: Alignment of values and personal stories with Novo’s mission, resonating with small business owners.

  • Engagement and Influence: Active participation in Novo’s communities and a strong following that values their insights and recommendations.

Roles and Responsibilities

SMEs integrate Novo seamlessly into their content, sharing personal stories and educational insights that make financial management and business essentials relatable to small business owners.

  • Develop educational materials using provided templates, including presentations, graphics, infographics, quote graphics, and videos.

  • Participate in Novo’s dedicated communities on Alignable and Facebook, answering questions related to Novo and their areas of expertise to enhance community engagement.

  • Conduct monthly hour-long events aligned with Novo’s calendar, featuring introductions, educational sessions, Q&A, and Novo overviews. Events are promoted on Novo’s and SMEs’ personal channels.

  • Utilize personal channels to amplify Novo-related content and use referral codes to encourage community growth and engagement.

  • Attend bi-weekly sessions to enhance their ability to create impactful educational content and effectively promote Novo.

Novo's Support

  • Offer training sessions, creative direction, and promotional materials to facilitate successful content creation and event hosting.

  • Assist in promoting SME-hosted events to Novo’s customer base to maximize reach and engagement.

  • Novo is providing the platforms for these SMEs to receive visibility for their business that they couldn’t receive on their own.
